As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for creating the businesses marketing strategy and developing our brand presence. You will be responsible for the conception, development and implementation of results-focused, multi-channel, marketing campaigns across our leisure and hospitality businesses to drive sales and occupancy. You will be a passionate, strong and inspirational leader with excellent communication skills to nurture internal and external relationships.

You will also be:

  • Leading the development of marketing plans for each business.
  • Ensuring the implementation of effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Focusing on growing engaged audiences who convert to customers through sales, occupancy and appointment reservation figures.
  • Acting as a brand guardian, guaranteeing all marketing materials adhere to the brand guidelines, creating a consistent, coherent and identifiable image for the group.
  • Developing creative and memorable marketing campaigns to excel our brand image and product offering.
  • Mapping our touchpoints and providing a strategy on how we can increase and improve our messaging.
  • Reviewing and reporting on all marketing strategies and their implementation, providing clear analysis and feedback, to the board of directors monthly.
  • Identifying ways to grow the capability of the marketing department and secure resources to improve functionality.
  • Sourcing talent to ensure the continuation and retention of specialist skill sets across the team, completing regular one-to-one meetings to manage the team effectively.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all marketing activities, results, and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Conducting strategic marketing analysis that will help guide our marketing forecasting.
  • Analysing and evolving our core marketing platforms and strategy to provide the best ROI and identify new or ad-hoc marketing opportunities to maximise results.
  • Ensuring marketing goals are communicated across the entire business, encouraging onsite teams to proactively promote marketing initiatives to customers, nurturing a holistic approach to our outreach activities.
  • Ensuring that we comply with all current marketing and copyright regulations, with reference to professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Efficiently manage annual marketing budgets.
  • Routinely share strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends, with the team.

What we’re looking for

  • Working knowledge of website functionality and optimisation, lead generation and creative marketing strategies.
  • Experience in leading your teams’ day-to-day duties and responsibilities, as well as project managing larger ad hoc projects.
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with cross departmental team members.
  • Excellent understanding of regulations, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • The ability to use software packages competently, including Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Mailchimp, Metricool, Google Business Tools, including GA4, Adobe Suite and CRM systems.
  • Experience in the Leisure or Hospitality industry (desirable)
  • A bachelor degree in Marketing, Psychology, Communications, Advertising, or a Business Management related subject.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role.
  • Fluent level of both spoken and written English.
