You’ll be joining a supportive leadership team within a region of children’s homes that values creativity, resilience and child-centred practice. This is your chance to take on a meaningful role where you’ll help shape the home, support the Manager, and lead your team to deliver high-quality care for children aged 8-18. About the Role:
- Support the Home Manager with daily operations and leadership
- Lead, motivate and supervise the staff team
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality therapeutic care
- Support care planning, safeguarding and risk management
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Manage rotas, staffing and contribute to budget oversight
- Be a positive role model for both staff and young people
- Promote a nurturing, structured and inclusive home environment
- Step up in the Manager's absence, taking full responsibility when required
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in a residential children’s home (Senior or Deputy level)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (Residential Childcare pathway)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations & safeguarding
- Experience with rotas, staffing and basic budget support
- Resilient, proactive, child-centred and confident in leading others
- Full UK Driving Licence
