We are currently recruiting for an organised and proactive Care Coordinator to join an established domiciliary care provider. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to progress within a fast-paced and rewarding environment, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality care services within the community.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and wider office team, the Care Coordinator will be responsible for the effective coordination of care staff, service user schedules, and day-to-day operational activities, ensuring care packages are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards.
This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage staff rotas to ensure care visits are allocated efficiently and service user needs are consistently met.
- Schedule new care packages, amendments, emergency cover, and ongoing staffing requirements.
- Communicate effectively with care staff, service users, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care delivery.
- Monitor call schedules, attendance, and punctuality, addressing any gaps in coverage proactively.
- Support with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new care staff.
- Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, and competency monitoring where required.
- Ensure care records, rotas, and client information are maintained accurately and in line with compliance requirements.
- Support with incident reporting, safeguarding concerns, and risk management processes.
- Assist with care reviews, assessments, and updating care plans as required.
- Work closely with the Registered Manager to support branch growth, retention, and operational performance.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Care Coordinator, Scheduler, or Senior Care role within domiciliary care.
- Strong understanding of domiciliary care operations and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using electronic rostering and care management systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and work calmly under pressure.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- A flexible, positive, and team-focused approach.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent preferred.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Experience within adult social care essential.
