As Deputy Manager, you'll join a supportive leadership team within a region of 8 children's homes, backed by a growing national organisation committed to therapeutic, child-centred care. You'll work in a welcoming residential home supporting young people aged 8-18, helping them stabilise, develop and thrive. You'll be trusted to bring your own ideas, lead by example, and take on senior responsibilities that prepare you for stepping into Registered Manager roles in future. You'll also play an important role in embedding "language that cares," reducing restrictive practices, and championing a consistent, nurturing approach across the home.

About the Role:
- Support the Home Manager with day-to-day leadership and operations
- Lead, mentor and inspire your staff team
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care aligned with Ofsted standards
- Support young people to feel safe, valued and heard
- Oversee rotas, staffing levels and contribute to budget management
- Promote a therapeutic, structured and predictable home environment
- Guide new team members, support development and embed best practice
- Step up in the Manager's absence, taking full operational responsibility
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience within a residential children's home (Senior or Deputy level)
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (Residential Childcare)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations & safeguarding
- Experience managing rotas and supporting basic budget processes
- Resilient, motivated, child-centred and confident in leading others
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible to work long day shifts and sleep-ins
