About the Role:
- Support the Home Manager with daily operational leadership
- Lead and mentor the staff team, modelling best practice
- Support young people aged 8-18 to feel safe, valued and understood
- Help create and maintain a therapeutic, structured environment
- Support with rotas, staffing, recording and Ofsted compliance
- Take responsibility during the Manager's absence
- Encourage staff development and positive team culture
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service development
Requirements:
- 2 years' experience in a residential children's home (Senior or Deputy)
- Level 3 or 4 Children & Young People qualification
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Experience with staffing, rotas and basic budgeting
- Motivated, proactive and confident in leading a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible to work long day shifts and sleep-ins
