Registered Manager (117968) Wakefield, England
Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
£40,000 – £43,000 per annum + Bonus
Wakefield | Covering Barnsley & Doncaster
Full-Time | 40 Hours
Lead with heart. Grow with purpose. Make a real difference every day.
Are you an experienced care professional looking for the opportunity to build and grow your own domiciliary care service?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing provider as the founding Registered Manager for a new dual branch covering Barnsley and Doncaster, with the office based in Wakefield.
This isn't simply about taking over an established service. You'll have the opportunity to build the branch from the ground up, shape the culture, recruit your own team and establish a service that delivers genuinely outstanding, person-centred care.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running, compliance and growth of the new branch.
You'll have the autonomy to:
- Build and develop your own branch team from the ground up
- Recruit, onboard and develop staff who share the organisation's values
- Establish a positive and high-performing office culture
- Lead the delivery of safe, compassionate and person-centred care
- Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and reflect individual client needs
- Maintain compliance with CQC, Health & Safety and mandatory training requirements
- Manage rotas and ensure all care calls are delivered safely and effectively
- Conduct inductions, supervisions, appraisals and performance management
- Regularly engage with clients and families as part of ongoing quality assurance
- Identify opportunities to grow the branch and increase care hours
- Build strong relationships within the local community and with key stakeholders
- Work closely with senior leadership to support the continued development of the business
A Genuine Opportunity to Grow
This role offers significant scope for progression as the branch develops.
The salary will increase as the service reaches key growth milestones:
- £50,000 once the combined services reach 2,000 care hours
- £55,000 once the combined services reach 3,000 care hours
There is also a bonus scheme linked to branch performance and targets. To qualify for bonuses, the branch must achieve a Good external CQC rating and Good rating from the Local Authority.
For someone who wants to demonstrate their ability to build, grow and successfully manage a domiciliary care operation, this is an excellent opportunity to progress towards future Regional or Operations Management positions.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience managing a domiciliary care service or branch
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- A genuine understanding of high-quality, person-centred care
- Knowledge of CQC compliance and care regulations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and an appetite for growing a service
- A compassionate, team-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and provide on-call/back-up support
What's on Offer?
- Performance-related bonus
- Salary progression to £50,000 at 2,000 hours
- Salary progression to £55,000 at 3,000 hours
- 40 hours per week

- Blue Light Card
- Holiday allowance increasing by 1 day per year, up to 28 days
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Clear progression opportunities within a growing business
- Supportive senior leadership team
- The opportunity to build and grow your own branch from the ground up
