Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors with residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents including contracts, transfers, and mortgage deeds.
  • Conduct searches, review title documents, and assist with pre- and post-completion work.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant third parties.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files on the case management system.
  • Provide general administrative support, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and handling client queries.
  • Conduct basic legal research and ensure all work complies with current regulations and firm policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 year's experience working within a conveyancing department (residential or commercial).
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and related documentation.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Proficient in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to build a long-term career in conveyancing.

Qualifications

  • A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification is desirable.
  • Completion of a Paralegal qualification or the LPC is advantageous but not essential.
