Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 depending on experience with 17.5% shift premium = £32,900-£39,950. 3% target bonus also attached to the role.
Hours of Work: Rotating shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday‑Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products, to internal GMP guidelines.
- Good and safe housekeeping of his/her work area.
- Responding to internal customer queries.
- To work with other team members to provide flexible cover, as and when required.
- To carry out all duties in line with the company's Quality Assurance procedures.
- Facilitate continuous process improvements to optimise departmental flow, plant, capacity and man hour's efficiency while contributing to and completing improvement projects.
- Carry out testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products against the agreed current specifications.
- Work to company's GMP guidelines, generating traceable results and records.
- Check and act as a countersignature to raw data and results obtained by other technicians in the team.
- Enter raw data and results generated into company's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Ensure the required sample data is correctly entered into the appropriate documents for the purpose of QC metrics.
- To follow global, company and departmental SOP's, where appropriate.
- To write, modify and prepare SOP's, when required.
- Preparation of tidy and presentable reports, when required.
- To perform calibration tests on laboratory equipment.
- Ensuring the work area is maintained to the required standard of 5S housekeeping.
- Carry out Safety Excellence Audits within the company.
- Ensure his/her training record is kept up to date via Oracle Learning Module.
- Execution of additional tasks, which may from time to time be discussed and agreed with the QC Supervisor or other senior staff.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with company's ISO, EXCiPACT, IPEC, and Health and Safety procedures.
