Van Drivers / Drainage Operatives Perm ( after 3 month agency probation )

£13.85 per hour + Overtime (up to £20.77 per hour)

Premier Recruit are currently recruiting for 2 Van Drivers / Drainage Operatives on a temp-to-perm basis for a leading drainage contractor working in partnership with a major national utilities company.

This is a hands-on, physical role offering excellent long-term job security and full training for candidates with the right attitude.

The Role

You will be working as part of a 23 person team carrying out drainage work, including:

  • Unblocking drains outside residential properties
  • Working on the public highway
  • Supporting general drainage and maintenance tasks

This role involves dirty and physically demanding work, so you must be comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.

Training

No previous experience is required.

  • Full training provided
  • First 2 days at a training centre in Slough (fully paid)
  • You must be able to travel to Slough for initial training before starting at the Beckton depot

Shift Patterns

You will work on one of the following rota patterns:

  • 4 on / 4 off 12-hour shifts
    • Overtime paid after 12 hours and for additional days attime and a half

OR

  • 12 days on / 2 days off
    • Overtime paid after 40 hours attime and a quarter

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
  • Own vehicle to travel to work
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Comfortable with physical, outdoor work
  • Strong team player
