Premier Recruit are currently recruiting for 5 X HGV2 (Cat C) Driver / Drainage Operatives to work the day shift on a Temp to Perm basis for a Drainage Contractor based in Budds Farm Havant, working in conjunction with Southern Water. We can offer an almost immediate start to the right candidates.
You will be working as part of a 2 or 3 person team unblocking drains outside properties and on the public highway. Other work will include working on planned maintenance and waste water projects. This can sometimes be dirty and physical work, but will be a secure position working on behalf of a National Utilities Company, providing excellent long-term job security.
Newly passed Class Two drivers are most welcome to apply. This position will be fully trained; therefore, no experience is needed. Please note, the first two days of training/induction for this job will be held at the training centre based in Guildford Surrey. Before you apply for this role, please ensure that you are okay to travel to this location. The training is fully paid at the HGV rates.
All Personal Protective Equipment will be provided including jackets, trousers, hard hat, and boots. The shift pattern will be: working Monday to Friday day shifts (start time normally around 07.00am). I have five new positions starting in both March and April, with a 50-hour week plus overtime as required.
The rate of pay will be £15.75 per hour, with overtime paid at £19.70 per hour Monday to Friday and £23.62 for any Saturday working. On some occasions, one week of nights may be required, and the pay for this work starts at £18.90 per hour with overtime at £23.60 per hour.
Requirements:
- A can-do attitude and not afraid of physical work.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- A Full UK Cat C Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- A Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A Valid CPC Card.
Additional Information:
- 12 week Temp to perm Position.
- Weekly pay.
