Role and Responsibilities:

  • Driving an 18 tonne curtainside vehicle
  • Temp to Perm roles for the right drivers
  • General haulage roles, delivery and collection of goods as required
  • Little if any hand ball on the roles
  • Transport goods and materials to designated clients in a safe and timely manner
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours and working time directive (WTD)
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the client
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 2 licence
  • Valid CPC and Tacho card
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points. No DR or DD Offences
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shifts
  • £14.50 - £20 per hour
  • Holiday pay on top of hourly rate
