Role and Responsibilities:
- Driving an 18 tonne curtainside vehicle
- Temp to Perm roles for the right drivers
- General haulage roles, delivery and collection of goods as required
- Little if any hand ball on the roles
- Transport goods and materials to designated clients in a safe and timely manner
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours and working time directive (WTD)
- Report any incidents or accidents to the client
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho card
- Ability to work independently
- Good time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Maximum of 6 penalty points. No DR or DD Offences
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential
Working Hours and Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts
- £14.50 - £20 per hour
- Holiday pay on top of hourly rate
