Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Leicester.\\n\\nThis key role is working with senior management to improve and maintain all H&S and Environmental activities on site.\\n\\nMain Duties:\\n\\n * To promote and work with managers in determining safe working practices, ensuring that all service areas have suitable and sufficient risk assessments for their operations\\n\\n * To maintain up to date knowledge of current and new legislative requirements, relating to health and safety issues\\n\\n * Undertake planned health and safety audits and workplace inspections\\n\\n * Carry out investigations of all incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence\\n\\n * Liaise closely with the HR team and Managers regarding matters of concern and take appropriate action\\n\\n * Ensure general administration of the Health and Safety service is carried out in an accurate and timely manner.\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * Relevant Health & Safety qualification\\n\\n * Management or leadership qualification preferred\\n\\n * PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification preferred\\n\\n * Ideally 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
