We are looking for a permanent Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company in Congleton. Offering a 4 day working week, 36 hours Mon-Thursday, generous salary and attractive benefits with modern, clean working conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair plant, machinery, and equipment to a high standard while ensuring safety at all times.
  • Carrying out routine electrical maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Installing new electrical services in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Schedule maintenance with minimal disruption, supporting troubleshooting activities, and helping identify preventive maintenance improvements.
  • You may also be required to assist with out-of-hours breakdowns and support with purchasing maintenance consumables and equipment.

Requirements

  • We are seeking an experienced electrician with a completed electrical apprenticeship and strong technical ability across motors, drives, PLC panels, calibration, testing and inspection (17th/18th Edition).
  • You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicate clearly, read drawings, design installations, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Practical skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team and a positive, collaborative approach are also essential.
