Are you looking for a new challenge and job satisfaction? Our clients are currently recruiting Site Operatives/Ground Workers to join their Installation Team and maintain their high standards. For over 35 years, the company has been designing, manufacturing and installing a range of prefabricated steel maintenance pits for the commercial vehicle, PSV and Railway industries across the UK and internationally. Their clientele includes major blue chip companies. Additionally, they also manufacture bespoke steel substructures for various below ground applications, from gym landing pits to bases for large industrial machines.
The Role
The successful candidate will be required to assist and support the Installation Supervisor during the installation of the prefabricated steel pits and substructures, either on new build sites or in existing vehicle maintenance workshops. The process involves marking out the excavation, assisting the Supervisor during excavation and installation of the pit, and pouring concrete. The successful candidate will be working away during the week, mainly Monday to Friday; however, the occasional weekend may be required. Food and lodgings will be paid for, and transport to site is provided.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in groundworks, concrete handling/floating is required
- Driving licence
- CSCS card
