Are you an experienced Construction Manager or Supervisor looking for a new challenge and job satisfaction? We are currently recruiting an experienced Installations Manager to manage and support 4+ teams working throughout the UK installing vehicle inspection pits and substructures, while maintaining their high standards.

For over 35 years, the company has been designing, manufacturing and installing a range of prefabricated steel maintenance pits for the commercial vehicle, PSV and Railway industries across the UK and internationally. Their clientele includes major blue chip companies. Additionally, they also manufacture bespoke steel substructures for various below ground applications, from gym landing pits to bases for large industrial machines.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting 4+ installation teams working throughout the UK. You will be based in Quadring, Spalding, and will remotely manage the teams, with regular visits to sites as and when required.

Main Duties

  • Producing risk assessments and method statements for each installation
  • Organising plant and materials
  • Supporting each installation team
  • Managing budgets for each job
  • Liaising with customers
  • Liaising with production to ensure pits are sent to site
  • Ensuring installation schedules are met
  • Carrying out site visits to check on progress
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
  • Carrying out quality checks

Skills and Qualifications

Essential experience:

  • Experience in construction site management
  • CSCS card holder
  • Groundworks experience
  • Good knowledge of health and safety
  • Full driving licence

Desirable experience:

  • SMSTS
  • CPCS Appointed Person – Lifting Operations
