We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Despatch Co-ordinator/Planner for our warehouse operation in Minworth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse and trunking operations. The candidate must also have experience dealing with drivers/Warehouse Operatives and be highly proficient using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.

Working hours: 15:00-00:00 Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling the movement of tonnes of product per night utilising employed drivers along with agency drivers
  • Allocating work to Warehouse Operatives
  • Forecast resources required and make sure all relevant resource is booked and available
  • Plan daily movements whilst liaising with all other departments for resource availability
  • Complete all required administration work
  • Brief and despatch drivers & Warehouse Operatives
  • Communicate with drivers throughout the day to ensure deliveries are on time and deal with any issues that may arise
  • Communicate with Sales and warehouse teams around the country via telephone and email

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Previous experience within a Warehouse / Transport planning role with the ability to schedule drivers and vehicles
  • Excellent communication and administration skills
  • Engage with colleagues around the group at all levels
  • Work logically and systematically to solve problems and influence others
  • Hands on approach, not afraid to get involved
  • Good networking skills
  • Advanced computer literacy especially with Microsoft applications
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Counterbalance forklift certification
  • VNA / LLOP certification
