Pay: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 39 hours/week

• Mon–Thurs: 08:00–16:30
• Fri: 08:00–13:30

KPI Recruiting are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our client\’s team at a well-established plant nursery. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a passion for horticulture and a love of working outdoors.

Please note: This role is based at a plant nursery and involves horticultural work, not childcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for a wide variety of plants, from seedlings to mature specimens
• Watering, pruning, and general plant maintenance
• Assist with propagation tasks (e.g., seed sowing, taking cuttings)
• Monitor plant health and report issues like pests or diseases
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas
• Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
• Interact professionally with colleagues, customers, and visitors

What We\’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in plants, gardening, or horticulture
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance

Desirable

• Experience in a horticultural or garden centre setting
• Basic plant knowledge (types, care, propagation)
