Double Days Monday – Thursday
6am – 3.45pm & 3.30pm – Midnight

Due to an ever-expanding orderbook we are expanding capacity at our site in Rochdale and are looking for Mechanical Fitters to join our team.
The Role
- Working from engineering drawings
- Mechanical fitting of special purpose machinery & equipment
- Fitting and assembling various to be supplied into large customer base
- Follow planned operations to completion at prescribed production rates to meet customer delivery schedule in accordance with Company H&S and Quality Policies
- Fit and assemble Mechanical components exposed to motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Conduct safety checks and performance monitoring for machining, associated equipment and surrounding work area
- Receive, read and interpret engineering data and documentation, engineering drawings and technical data
- Check and inspect materials to be machined to ensure that they conform to quality standards
- Identify and report any issues or faults such as incorrect grades, dimensions and thicknesses
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide training if required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Competent and Experienced Fitter with solid background in Engineering
- Machine building experience is essential
- Formal apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
- Upskilling and cross-functional development via grading scheme
- Further Education opportunities
