Due to exciting company growth, Premier Marinas are seeking two experienced and motivated RICS qualified Estate Surveyors to join their Estate Team based at their Head Office at Swanwick Marina. The Premier Marinas real estate portfolio incorporates 22 stunning marinas, predominantly spanning the South Coast – the Solent, the Hamble, Sussex, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing a dynamic, diverse and growing property portfolio within the UK’s finest Marina operator.
Reporting to the Real Estate Director and working alongside each other and existing members of the Estate Team, the successful candidates will help manage a wide-ranging estate that includes commercial and residential, maintaining the long-term stewardship, commercial performance, and operational effectiveness of the portfolio. Professional expertise, commercial awareness, and attention to detail are essential for these varied and rewarding roles.
The intention is to appoint a Senior Estate Surveyor with circa 8-10 years post-qualification experience alongside an Estate Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. However, there is flexibility to structure the roles and future Estate Team to suit the best candidates to ensure long term success and growth for all parties, so all levels of experience 2+ years will be considered.
About the roles:
- Supporting the letting, renewal, and negotiation of commercial and residential property agreements
- Liaising with tenants, agents, solicitors, and other professional advisers
- Administering service charges
- Working closely with Premier’s Maintenance team to ensure properties are well maintained and suitable for letting or sale
- Identifying potential voids and coordinating refurbishment planning
- Supporting the Estate Team in delivering the department’s income targets
- Managing estate records and property information systems
- Preparing reports on rent, debtors, and estate management matters
- Supporting the preparation and monitoring of property budgets
- Assisting with property disposals and managing appointed agents where required
- Managing members of the Estate Team and supporting their professional development
The roles require a proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to balance commercial priorities with the long‑term objectives of the company. Each role is full time (37.5 hours per week) from Monday to Friday. Whilst based at our Head Office in Swanwick Marina, there will be a requirement to frequently travel to our various marina sites supporting both the Estates and Marina teams and therefore a full driver’s licence is required.
Personal Profile:
We are looking for a capable and commercially minded individual who enjoys working in a varied environment and taking ownership of their responsibilities. You will be:
- A qualified RICS Surveyor with at least two years PQE.
You will bring:
- Experience working within estate management, property management, or surveying
- Knowledge of property lettings, property legislation, and property administration
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working with tenants, professional advisers, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and property management systems
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
