Premier Junk is a growing waste clearance and recycling company providing reliable man-and-van style collections for homes and businesses across Southampton and the wider South Coast.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking people to join our clearance teams. This is a practical, hands-on role involving driving, lifting, problem solving and dealing directly with customers.

The Role
  • Driving 3.5t Luton vans (driver roles)
  • Collecting waste, furniture and unwanted items from homes and businesses
  • Loading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Working independently or as part of a two-person team
  • Providing good customer service on site
  • Updating the office with accurate job information

Most work is around Southampton, but you should be comfortable travelling across the South Coast when required. Some jobs are straightforward, others involve heavier lifting or awkward access. A positive attitude and reliability matter more than being super fit, but you must be prepared for physical work. This role will not suit unreliable people.

Typical Work Includes
  • House, garage and office clearances
  • Furniture and bulky item collections
  • Skip bag and construction waste collections
  • Fly-tipping removal
  • General waste collections of all types

No two days are the same.

Hours & Working Pattern
  • Typically 5 days per week (mainly Monday to Friday)
  • Working hours usually between 06:00 and 20:00
  • Shifts generally 8–12 hours
  • Minimum 35 hours guaranteed
  • Most weeks will average 40–50 hours
  • Saturday work will be required
  • Finish times vary depending on workload, so flexibility is important
Pay & Benefits
  • Β£12.71 per hour
  • Monthly pay
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Employer pension contribution (5% unless opted out)
  • Company vehicle provided for work use
Vehicle Arrangements

Work vans are normally taken home or kept at an agreed secure location, meaning little or no commuting cost or travel time.

Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (driver roles)
  • Comfortable driving 3.5t vans
  • Willingness to do physical work
  • Reliable, professional attitude with customers
  • You must have your own smartphone with an active data plan β€” our job system runs via mobile apps and this is essential for the role
  • DBS check required
  • Random drug and alcohol testing in place
