Are you an experienced financial services leader looking for a Managing Director job where you can shape the future of an IFA firm? This role will suit a people focused leader who enjoys guiding businesses through change, supporting advisers, and strengthening operations, while always keeping client outcomes at the heart of decision making. You do not need to be an AI specialist, as this area is driven by their CEO. However, you should be curious, open minded and humble in your leadership approach, comfortable working in a business that is evolving its digital capabilities and client journeys.
Working closely with the board you will help to drive adviser recruitment, improve operational efficiency and support the roll out of new systems that blend human advice with technology enabled processes. You will also contribute to the future development of a direct to consumer offering that complements the firms existing independent advice model.
Key areas of the role include:
- Leading and supporting advisers and staff across multiple offices
- Strengthening operational performance and ensuring regulatory standards are maintained
- Driving adviser recruitment and supporting potential team or firm acquisitions
- Supporting the introduction of new technology and improved client and adviser processes
- Helping shape the development of future direct to consumer services
Managing Director Requirements
Essential:
- Senior leadership experience within an independent financial planning, wealth management or IFA firm
- Proven experience managing regulated advisers and FCA focused operations
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk within an advice firm
- Track record of adviser recruitment or team growth across more than one location
- Highly values led and client centric
Desirable:
- Experience of business transformation, digital change or integration projects
- Experience of direct to consumer and/or working with corporate clients to offer financial wellbeing service
