Right Match Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation based in Rainham, Essex to recruit a forward thinking Mill Operative to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and fixed 6 months contract role. You will be working on 8-hours shift, rotating on days (early and afternoon shift) Monday to Friday.

As a Mill Operative, you will play a crucial role in the continuous development of your production area, supporting the delivery of the site plan. You will work together with your team on various production processes.

Responsibilities of the Mill Operative include:

  • Handle Raw Materials: Oversee the intake, transfer, and preparation of raw materials to ensure high-quality end product.
  • Maintain Quality and Efficiency: Ensure product quality, minimise waste, and keep the plant running efficiently.
  • Monitor Machinery: Regularly inspect and maintain mill machinery to prevent issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with your team to deliver the production plan and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain paperwork to support product traceability and quality.
  • Problem Solving: Address and solve non-engineering issues with machinery to minimise stoppages and improve efficiency.
