On-site near Wakefield with some hybrid working. We are looking for a Junior Electronics Engineer to join a global manufacturer that provides solutions to the oil & gas and defence sector on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to continue to develop and grow on their experience with progress into senior roles.
You will:
- Work on the development of new products, including schematic design, component selection and PCB layout
- Test new prototype products and develop test procedures
- Provide engineering support to the production team
- Work with external test labs on EMC and safety testing
- Work on new and existing boards
- Participate in global progress meetings for new designs
You’ll bring:
- A strong ability to communicate ideas and solutions to team members and management
- Proactive and ability to work on own initiative
- Experienced in designing digital electronics, including designs to meet compliance such as EMC and safety
- Experience with new PCB design bring up
- Ability to work in fast paced role with new and developing products
- Experience of Altium software a plus
You’ll be based on-site near Wakefield with some hybrid/home working and work closely alongside senior management with plenty of opportunities to advance your skill set and progress.
