An exciting opportunity to work with a leading designer importer and distributor of furniture, home decorations, lighting, kitchenware and bathroom accessories in the Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland. Based in Glasgow and established for over 30 years, we supply blue chip household name retailers, furniture and giftware stores, and the country’s leading interior designers.
Overview
To manage and develop existing accounts with a view to deliver growth with existing customers and also to pursue opportunities with target accounts.
Key Duties
- Achieving sales objectives and growth with your customer base by presenting catalogues and samples and creating quotes for products within our portfolio.
- Sending customers quotes and information on products after understanding their needs and product requirements.
- Administer all aspects of customer relationships from managing existing business to capitalising on new opportunities.
- Analysing the products customers are buying to create a strategic plan for sales opportunities.
- Deliver growth and market share gains.
- Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained.
- Meet monthly quotas.
- Engage with multiple existing customers on a daily basis and reach out to potential new clients, developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty.
- Implement strategies for retaining customers and further developing existing customers.
- Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed.
- Prospect for new customers.
Principal Competencies Required
- Knowledge of interior design, furniture and/or homewares is desirable.
- You should be passionate, driven, professional and commercially astute.
- You should possess a strong ability to network and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- You should have good influencing and negotiation skills.
- You should be proactive and flexible in nature.
- You should be able to work with different teams within the organisation such as design, IT and the warehouse to ensure the customers’ needs are met.
- You should be fully proficient in MS applications, especially Excel.
- IT literate and able to adapt to our SAP system.
- You should have experience in developing new business.
- You should be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40k on target earnings plus bonuses.
