We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to join a well-established nursing home in Lowestoft. This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC Registered Nurse with previous Deputy Manager experience who is looking to take on a senior clinical leadership role and support the Home Manager with the overall running of the service.
The Role
- Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate nursing care, while providing strong clinical leadership to the nursing and care teams.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to nursing and care teams.
- Ensuring high standards of care in line with CQC requirements and company policies.
- Leading clinical audits and supporting continuous improvement.
- Reviewing care plans, risk assessments, medication and clinical documentation.
- Supporting pre-admission assessments and ongoing reviews of residents' needs.
- Mentoring, supervising and developing nurses and care staff.
- Taking responsibility for the home in the Home Manager's absence.
- Working closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Promoting person-centred care, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures and clinical governance standards are maintained.
About You
- Previous Deputy Home Manager experience within a care/nursing home.
- An active NMC registration - essential.
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance.
- Experience with care planning, medication management, audits and risk assessments.
- A good understanding of adult safeguarding.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
