We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Health & Social Care Trainer to join a large domiciliary care provider based in Ilford. This is an exciting opportunity for a training professional who is committed to developing care staff, promoting best practice, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
As the Health & Social Care Trainer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging induction, mandatory, refresher, and specialist training programmes for care staff across the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, the Care Certificate, and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver induction training, mandatory training, and refresher courses to new and existing care staff.
- Support the delivery and assessment of the Care Certificate.
- Deliver training on safeguarding, medication, moving and handling, infection control, dementia awareness, and person-centred care.
- Conduct competency assessments, observations, and spot checks in the field.
- Maintain accurate training records and monitor compliance levels.
- Support managers with identifying learning and development needs across the workforce.
- Ensure training programmes remain aligned with CQC expectations and best practice within the domiciliary care sector.
- Promote a positive learning culture that supports continuous professional development.
- Previous experience delivering training within Health & Social Care.
- Experience within domiciliary care, home care, supported living, or adult social care.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Certificate, safeguarding, medication, moving and handling, and other mandatory training subjects.
- A recognised Training or Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, Level 3 Award in Education & Training, or equivalent) is ESSENTIAL.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally where required.
