Technical Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Hale, Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

We’re recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing manufacturing company based in Hale, who are seeking a talented Technical Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical or engineering professional looking to take the next step in their career within a well-established and forward-thinking business.

The Role

The Technical Manager will take responsibility for all technical and engineering activities on site. You will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with production, quality, and senior management, you’ll ensure that the company’s technical standards and customer expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and develop the technical and engineering functions within the business
  • Lead product and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Provide technical support across production, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Manage compliance with relevant industry and safety standards
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical specifications and requirements

About You

  • Proven experience in a technical or engineering management role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
  • Confident communicator, able to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
