Currently supporting a highly established FinTech Company who are looking for a number of Senior Kafka Platform Engineers to add to their team. This client offers a "get stuck in" start-up vibe, but with the resources and backing of a major scale-up.
Salary: Up to £110,000
Location: London (3 Days Onsite)

What You'll Do:
- Own our Kafka clusters, including their deployment, scaling, and ongoing maintenance in Kubernetes environments.
- Implement and manage Kafka Connectors and MirrorMaker2 for seamless data integration.
- Automate Kafka lifecycle processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Enforce and enhance Kafka security, including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot complex Kafka issues, ensuring optimal performance and data consistency.
- Contribute to the evolution of our internal developer platform.
- Provide expert support to development teams for all Kafka-related needs.
- Assist with Kubernetes platform maintenance and developer onboarding (up to one day a week).
What You Bring:
- Proven experience managing Kafka in production, high-throughput environments.
- Deep understanding of MirrorMaker2 and Kafka Connectors.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operators and CRDs, especially Strimzi.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka security configurations and replication mechanisms.
- Expertise in Kafka performance tuning, latency reduction, and JVM optimization.
- Solid network diagnostics skills.
