Job Description
Role- Mechanical Design Manager
Salary- £50,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent (Hybrid working available)
My client design and manufacture a range of products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Engineering Manager / Design Manager, on a permanent basis, near Liverpool.
The Mechanical Design Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience managing or leading a small team of more Junior Design Engineers
- Hands on mechanical design experience
- Be proficient with using ideally SolidWorks CAD software
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Any FEA / mechanical analysis skills would be desirable
- And knowledge of pneumatics would be desirable
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving skills
The Mechanical Design Manager role will involve:
- Leading a team of Mechanical Design Engineers
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Being involved in managing project deadlines and timelines
- Helping to develop the engineering department
- Hands on mechanical design too using SolidWorks
