Job Description
JOB – CNC Machinist
LOCATION – Southampton
TERM- Permanent
SALARY – £30,000-£35,000, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for an CNC Machinist to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.
The CNC Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
- Previous experience working as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Setter
- Ideally have some experience with or knowledge of programming
- Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing
- Have experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components
- Be able to read from engineering drawings
- Have previous experience working in a similar Machine Shop environment
- Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
The CNC Machinist role will involve:
- Working with CNC machinery and producing plastics
- Running multiple machines – small to medium batch work
- Inspecting components as required
- CNC Milling or Turning working with varied controls
- Reading from engineering drawings
- Adhering to company H&S requirements
