We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Bridges Engineer to join our client in York on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in managing diverse and challenging projects, primarily within the rail industry, while contributing to the success of an innovative and collaborative business.\\n\\n We are looking for a candidate who embodies our "can do" attitude and is eager to make a significant impact.\\n\\n Essential Qualifications & Experience:\\n\\nAn engineering degree and be chartered (ICE/IStructE) or sitting review within the next 12 months.\\nA minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in a design environment.\\nProven experience in the refurbishment and renewals of a range of structural types and materials.\\nExcellent leadership and communication skills.\\nA driving licence.Ideal Candidate Should Also Have Experience in:\\n\\nDesigning various structures, including bridges, tunnels, stations, and buildings, utilizing diverse materials such as concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.\\nProject management, including project scoping, coordinating design activities, and managing contractual and financial aspects.\\nManaging teams of up to 2-4 people.\\nWorking on multiple concurrent and multi-discipline commissions.\\nRepresenting the company to clients and collaborating effectively with a range of project stakeholders.\\nAn innovative outlook, with a desire to use and further develop technical and business skills to align with the growing needs of the business.\\nWork winning in a client-facing role.Reporting to the York Office Lead and working closely with discipline heads across offices, your responsibilities will be varied and impactful:\\n\\nDeveloping conceptual and detailed designs in accordance with project requirements.\\nChecking design calculations and drawings completed by other engineers.\\nPerforming structural calculations and analysis using appropriate software packages.\\nTaking on a technical leadership, input, and review role for design, assessment, and other technical aspects.\\nAssisting in the preparation of fee proposals.\\nManaging and building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.\\nAttending meetings, representing MHB and the design team.\\nConducting on-site visits, structural inspections, and investigations.\\nProviding technical support and mentorship to less experienced staff.\\nProject managing small and medium-sized projects.Why Consider This Role?\\n\\n This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to truly prove yourself within a dynamic and supportive environment.
