My client designs and manufactures Special Purpose Machinery for a global client base. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar in Electrical Engineering and/or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experienced in a manufacturing environment working with machinery
- A background in servicing/commissioning would be beneficial
- Programming experience would also be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with experience in a customer-facing role
- Able to work well under pressure
The Field Service Engineer role will involve:
- Travelling to customer sites for commissioning, servicing and repair
- Working to given processes and procedures
- Occasionally training customers on new products and machinery
- Providing technical support
