The Role
As a Quality Engineer / Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring all manufactured products meet internal and customer quality standards. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to support continuous improvement and maintain robust quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components
- Operate and program CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to perform detailed dimensional inspections
- Perform and manage equipment calibration routines and maintain calibration records
- Identify non-conformances, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and assist with implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and documentation in line with ISO 9001 standards
- Assist in maintaining and improving QMS documentation and internal procedures
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality concerns or requirements
- Participate in internal audits and support external audit preparation
- Generate and analyse quality metrics and KPIs to drive improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality Technician role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001
- Hands-on experience with CMM machines (Aberlink, Mitutoyo, or similar) and manual measuring tools
- Experience with calibration systems and maintenance of quality records
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Good problem-solving skills with experience in RCA, 8D, 5 Whys, or similar methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or QMS software is an advantage
