SALARY: £40,000-£50,000
My engineering client are looking to take on a Quality Engineer, on a permanent basis, in Leeds. The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree/ HNC/ HND / NVQ qualified in Engineering or be QBE
- 2 years’ or more experience in a similar Quality Technician or Quality Engineer position ideally with transferable skills and knowledge
- Previous experience working in a similar electronics components engineering manufacturing environment but other backgrounds may also be considered
- Ideally experienced in carrying out internal audits
- Excellent knowledge of ISO9001 – any other ISO experience would be desirable
- Able to work well individually as well as within a team
- Have excellent communication skills
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Working with the group Quality Manager
- Supporting all aspects of Quality – using methods such as 8D, 5 Why’s, Root Cause Analysis etc.
- Always looking to improve company processes and procedures
- Be involved in internal audits and leading this programme
- Understanding customer feedback
- Training other staff members with regards to processes and procedures
- Producing product reports as required
