We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer on behalf of a well-established, internationally recognised manufacturer of precision industrial weighing and packaging equipment. Their systems are deployed across the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and agricultural sectors globally, and their UK customer base is growing.
This is a genuine development opportunity. The business is willing to invest in training the right Field Service Engineer from the ground up, so while sector experience is a bonus, it is not essential. If you are mechanically or electromechanically skilled, enjoy working independently at customer sites, and want to build a long-term career with an industry leader, we want to hear from you.
The Role:
- Installing, commissioning and carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on high-specification industrial weighing and packaging machinery
- Attending customer sites across the region to diagnose faults and return equipment to full operation as quickly as possible
- Acting as the face of the business on site — building strong relationships with customers and managing their expectations throughout the visit
- Completing accurate service documentation following each job
- Liaising with internal technical support when required and feeding back any additional service or upgrade opportunities
What We Are Looking For:
- A mechanical or electromechanical background — whether through a trade qualification, engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on site experience
- Confident working independently at customer premises with minimal supervision
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability across mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Good communication skills — comfortable dealing directly with customers at all levels
- Full UK driving licence
- Any experience in food manufacturing, packaging machinery, weighing equipment, or similar industrial environments is advantageous but not required — full product training will be provided
The Package:
- Salary £25,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)
- Performance-based bonus
- Full product training provided
- Permanent position
