Premier Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Manager to join our client’s team in York. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented design team in developing innovative solutions for a wide range of engineering projects.
The Design Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Extensive experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BEng, MEng, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA) principles
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of engineers
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
