JOB- Demo Driver LOCATION- South East / London TERM- Permanent SALARY- £40,000 – £48,000 per annum dependent on experience (please advise what you’re looking for) My client manufactures engineering equipment, and they are looking to take on a Demo Driver on a permanent basis, in the South East / London area. The Demo Driver will ideally have the following attributes: Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND/ BTEC or similar qualification in Mechanical Engineering or be qualified by experience – training can also be given OR someone with good Sales experience with a technical mindset HGV Licence is essential Have the willingness to learn Good hands on practical engineering skills This position could suit someone from a hands on Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Car Sales type background – someone who is mechanically minded with the confidence to work with customers Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Good time management skillsThe Demo Driver role will involve: Demonstrating how the vehicles work to customers and potential customer too Answer any technical questions that are asked Ensuring the customer is then comfortable operating the vehicle Loading vehicles onto transporters when required Driving loaded vehicles to customer sites and driving in accordance with rules and regulations Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness (water, tyre levels and checking oil levels) Maintaining phone contact with the sales office reporting any problems Completing work records as required Keeping the vehicles / machines clean and in accordance with operational requirementsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
