JOB- Commercial Engineer

LOCATION Birmingham

TERM- Permanent

SALARYper annum dependent on experience

My client is a specialist metal manufacturer. They are looking for an Estimator with strong customer‑facing skills to join luscious team near Birmingham on a permanent basis.

The Estimator will ideally have the following attributes:

• 1-5 years experience working as a technical Estimator
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining and similar materials
• Experience in Laser Cutting would be beneficial but not required
• Able to understand technical drawings and produce detailed quotations
• Strong customer‑facing skills with the ability to develop relationships
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient with using Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability
• The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team

Theelọpọ role will involve:

• Working to technical drawings and models to produce detailed quotations
• Reactive sales answering phone calls and emails
• Maintaining and developing relationships with customers
• Converting successful quotes into orders
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings gad tez
• Working within the Sales team
• Feeding back cost data into estimating tools and then keeping these updated

Getting sign off from all disciplines so that you can deliver against the prepared budget
