Overview
Role Description: to work as part of the MSSS SEP 1&2 site based CE&I design team, providing site-based design front line support to the Commissioning teams, delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes to meet functional and business needs. The implementation, testing and commissioning of the detailed designs/changes is undertaken by other dedicated site-based teams, hence is outside the scope of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide site-based front line CE&I design support to the Commissioning team.
- Deliver, support the delivery of others and check detailed designs/changes to meet functional and business needs.
- Coordinate with other site-based teams for implementation, testing and commissioning where applicable.
Qualifications
Essential
- Academic Qualification: Minimum - HND
- Professional Qualification: Minimum - Incorporated Engineer
- Security Clearance: SC
Hours: 37 hours over 4½ days a week
Location: Working 3 days a week minimum on the MSSS site. When not required on site, to work 3 days per week minimum out of our design office. To attend main site: 1 day per month.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer, including:
- Working on external multidiscipline projects
- Providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team
- Delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes
- Working understanding of external Standards for PES based Control Systems and Process Instruments
- Effective problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines
- Willingness to support early career Engineers
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum 7 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer
- Working on external and/or SL multidiscipline projects
- Providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team
- Delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes
- Working understanding of SL Engineering Standards for PES based Control Systems and Process Instruments
