We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team based in Salisbury. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working hands-on with production processes and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Production Engineer, you will support day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring products are built efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and support new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and improve manufacturing processes to maximise efficiency, quality, and output
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimisation)
- Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
- Assist with the introduction of new products and processes into production
- Create and maintain production documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
About You
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Production, or Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Good communication and organisational skills
