Premier Forest Products is one of the UK’s leading timber importers, processors, and distributors. With over 20 sites nationwide and a workforce of 600+ employees, we have experienced significant growth in recent years through acquisitions and continued business expansion. We are looking for an organised and driven Production/Transport Planner to join our team at National Timber Systems, Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in coordinating production and logistics operations to support our continued growth.
Working closely with the Production Manager and transport team, you will focus on planning manufacturing schedules and ensuring efficient, on-time delivery of products to customers and construction sites.
What you will be doing…
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production schedules in line with customer demand.
- Organise and manage transport logistics, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Liaise with production, design, and logistics teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Monitor order progress and adapt plans to accommodate changes or delays.
- Maximise vehicle loads and optimise delivery routes.
- Maintain accurate planning records and system updates.
- Support continuous improvement across production and transport operations.
