As a New Product Development Technologist in Sweet Treats, you will be working on one of the nation’s favourite brands, Mr Kipling in addition to Customer Brands too. You will help to support and drive our Innovation launch plans. You will be joining a team responsible for developing exciting and delicious cakes, after all, we are the home of the Cherry Bakewell, Fondant Fancies, Battenberg and Angel Slices to name just a few!
Do you offer:
- BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree
- Intermediate Food Hygiene
- HNC Food Science/Technology
- BTEC Food Science
- 1-2 years development experience preferable although recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Strong organisational skills
- A flair for baking & creative cooking

- An ability and desire to work across office, test bakery and production environments
You will be involved in every stage of the process, from concept to launch developing new products and improving the quality of existing products. You will have hands-on experience in the development test bakery and in scaling products up onto factory equipment, as well as developing an understanding of the functionality of the ingredients which go into our cakes and having the opportunity to work directly with our suppliers.
