We have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join the engineering team. You will be responsible for determining and providing the correct maintenance strategy for the site equipment, involving optimising preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and cost objectives.
What you will be doing:
- Produce and optimise a timely and deliverable cost-effective maintenance programme for your manufacturing function to optimise the reliability of all electrical and mechanical assets.
- Act as the lead for escalating maintenance or breakdown support from OEM's.
- Support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies.
- Ensure effective maintenance plans (including technical docs, Maintenance Operating Procedures), in the delivery of the Site Capital Plan.
- Support future CAPEX plan development through analysis of machine obsolescence programme.
- Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reduction.
- Help deliver an agreed saving in manufacturing controllable costs year on year versus the pro-rata increase/decrease in factory volumes.
- Helping to transform the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy to a Right First Time, proactive philosophy.
- Through the use of CI tools (e.g. Root Cause Analysis), review and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance plan.
What we need from you:
- Essential: Apprentice trained in electrical / mechanical and Automation disciplines.
- Strong functional knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Automation maintenance and be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of Bakery (mixing / depositing / ovens / packing) & Process equipment.
- Understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer Asset Care guidance.
- Able to demonstrate strong organisational/planning skills relevant to planning overhaul activity and machine upgrades.
- Able to demonstrate the use of problem solving tools and techniques.
- PC literacy with Microsoft applications including Excel.
- Effective communication skills at all levels with the ability to influence and lead groups directly and indirectly.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
Desirable:
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing efficiency concepts (e.g. 6 losses and Line Utilisation concepts) including Asset Care Brilliant Basics Strategy and TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) knowledge.
- Super user expertise in Central Maintenance Management System.
