About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Site Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in driving continuous improvement across equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. This is a pivotal leadership role within our Moreton site, offering the opportunity to shape long-term engineering strategy and contribute to our broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a 5-year maintenance strategy aligned with site and business objectives.
- Lead capital planning and manage engineering budgets, including energy and utilities.
- Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, health & safety legislation, and facilities management.
- Drive a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Collaborate with operations to prioritise engineering workload and select modern equipment.
- Represent the site at trade fairs and exhibitions to stay abreast of automation advancements.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure engineering and production efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- BEng Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG engineering management.
- Proven leadership in a trade union environment, managing teams of 50+.
- Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated success in improving equipment availability and performance.
