We're now looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to play a key role in driving consistent standards, strong culture and continuous improvement across our UK operations.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Environment, Health & Safety, you'll work across our manufacturing and logistics network to support delivery of the Group EHS strategy and raise health & safety performance. Acting as a trusted partner to site and group teams, you'll coach, challenge and influence to embed best practice and drive meaningful, sustainable change. This is a visible, hands-on group role, balancing strategic input with practical support across sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the Group EHS strategy, ensuring manufacturing and logistics needs are reflected.
- Lead and coordinate group-wide health & safety improvement programmes across multiple sites.
- Provide constructive challenge and coaching to site HSE and operational leaders to improve performance and culture.
- Support major CAPEX and change projects, ensuring robust safety standards are embedded.
- Lead serious incident investigations and root cause analysis, sharing learning and strengthening corporate standards.
- Own and maintain the Group Health & Safety manual and associated standards.
- Deliver the internal H&S audit programme, providing value-add audits and follow-up support.
- Develop capability through group-wide training and cross-site collaboration.
- Support sites during regulatory inspections and external audits, driving shared learning across the business.
- Use insight and reporting to identify trends and drive proactive improvement.
About you:
- Solid experience in a health & safety role within a regulated manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and ISO 45001.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, Chartered IOSH or equivalent (Internal Auditor qualification desirable).
- Proven experience in incident investigation, RCA and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable influencing and working across multiple sites and stakeholder groups.
- Confident communicator with the credibility to coach, challenge and support at pace.
- Strong IT capability, with experience supporting H&S systems, reporting or training platforms.
