Payroll and HR Administrator
Join the HR team at Premier Foods – the home of Mr Kipling and the nation’s favourite cakes.
Location: Stoke on Trent, ST4 6PH (site based)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £27,235 per annum
Working hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week)
What you will be doing
- Complete payroll processing in line with weekly and monthly deadlines
- Clear daily working time exceptions and errors
- Record absences, including fit notes, return to work and daily absence occasions
- Monitor the HR inbox and respond to all queries
- Process employee changes, overtime and benefits
- Hold payroll clinics around the time of payroll production
- Manage internal systems ensuring they are kept up to date
- Support the HR team with recruitment and onboarding/offboarding administration
What we need from you
- Demonstrable experience in an administrative/office role
- Previous experience and understanding of UK payroll legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate HR/payroll systems
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple workloads
