Our site in Moreton, the home of the Cadbury Mini Roll, is recruiting for a Labour Planner who is responsible for overseeing on-site labour scheduling during our seasonal production programme. This role ensures the successful execution of the site production plan by optimising workforce allocation, maintaining full operational coverage, and meeting headcount and budget targets.
Working cross-functionally, you will ensure departments are equipped with accurate labour information and proactively address potential staffing issues, such as initiating recruitment, to prevent disruptions to production. You will also monitor KPIs, identify and resolve challenges, and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
What we need from you:
- Previous labour scheduling experience from an FMCG background
- Strong organisational skills with experience of interrogating data and costs
- Awareness and understanding of business drivers and factors that impact related KPIs
- Exceptional communication skills with previous experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels
What you will be doing:
- Completion of daily resource schedule, ensuring that the required staffing levels are achieved to fulfil the daily production plan requirements.
- Daily review of labour and re-allocation of staff as required to meet changes as they arise.
- Identify and fulfil resource requirements ahead of schedule by reviewing the upcoming production plans, holiday, absence, sickness and site activities.
- Participate in the development of an accurate medium to long term labour forecast to identify & co-ordinate seasonal labour requirements in line with seasonal and promotional activity.
- Confirm Overtime opportunities with collators as required to support the operational teams.
- Conduct regular scheduled resource meetings with respective business unit leads.
- Run and communicate weekly and monthly reports detailing labour and cost variances.
