First Line Manager

LOCATION: Andover
SALARY: Up to £50k depending on experience
FULL TIME / PERMANENT: 37.5 HOURS
As our next First Line Manager you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver weekly plans whilst role modelling site standards on Safety, Food Safety and company values.
Key responsibilities
- Setting clear expectations and ensuring to hold the team accountable
- Leading by example to ensure that basic standards are fully embedded in your team/area
- To ensure regular and accurate communication of relevant information throughout your team and between shifts and departments, including plan changes, production issues, safety and quality issues, etc.
- To ensure effective cooperation across all shifts within your Area, including with your fellow FLMs, and between your respective teams
- To build relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate area improvements, including engineers, CI, Quality, HR, etc
The successful candidate will have.
- Demonstratable experience of delivering on KPI’s
- Good people skills and evidence of team-working
- Demonstratable experience of leading a team of people
- Understanding of performance review system with good feedback skills – both positive and negative
- Understanding of the risks associated with working in a food manufacturing sector
- Passion for delivering high standards of safety
- HACCP 3
- Food Safety Level 3
- Accident investigation training
- Experience in a manufacturing shift-based environment
- Previous experience of data analysis
- Good understanding of HR policies and procedures e.g. Performance development, Return to Work Interview process, flex contract
- Experience of working with CI Tools
- Demonstratable experience of managing in a food/health and safety environment
- Demonstratable knowledge of legislation and procedures
