Role purpose
We're now looking for a Customer Account Manager - Wholesale to join our Grocery team within the Sweet Treats business unit. In this role, you'll take full ownership of key wholesale grocery customers, developing and delivering joint business plans that drive sustainable, profitable growth for both Premier Foods and our customers. This is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you'll combine strong customer relationships, P&L ownership and cross-functional collaboration to deliver results in a warm, people-first environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning and delivering Joint Business Plans across key wholesale customers, including Bestway, Unitas, NBC and Sugro
- Managing full P&L responsibility, driving profitable growth for both Premier Foods and customers
- Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with buying groups and individual members
- Leading promotional planning and negotiations, ensuring activity is delivered, evaluated and optimised
- Driving accurate sales forecasting, working closely with Supply Chain, Finance and Forecasting teams
- Partnering with Marketing and Category teams to close distribution gaps and deliver new product launches
- Managing pricing structures and delivering cost increases in line with commercial guidelines
- Reviewing end-to-end initiatives to improve ROI, trade spend and overall profitability
- Coaching and developing Customer Account Executives within the wholesale team
What we need from you:
- Proven commercial experience within FMCG, grocery or wholesale environments
- Strong P&L management and commercial awareness
- Experience of building and delivering Joint Business Plans
- Confident, fact-based negotiator with a collaborative approach
- Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
- Excellent planning, organisation and time-management capability
- A team-focused mindset, comfortable working cross-functionally at all levels
