Based in Moreton (Wirral), we’re one of Britain’s largest branded food companies, employing around 4,000 people in over 14 sites across the country, and supplying a range of retail, wholesale, foodservice and other customers with some of Britain’s best-loved brands.
Premier Foods are currently recruiting for several temporary Bakery Operatives to join our team in Moreton.
Salary: £12.21 per hour

JOB DUTIES
- To ensure the use of safe working practices at all times (Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality).
- Correct operation and running of all machinery and equipment used in the relevant areas.
- Ensuring all equipment is cleaned according to agreed cleaning standards.
- To ensure all equipment and ingredients are prepared and ready for production start-up time.
- To ensure correct codes are used in accordance with production plan.
- To ensure changeovers are carried out according to planned production.
- To ensure batter and baked products are produced in accordance with specifications and recipes.
- To ensure GMP standards are maintained to the highest level through cleaning schedules and clean as you go.
- To provide cover for all operating roles as required.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work under own initiative.
- Must be able to carry out some manual handling; pushing, bending, lifting is involved.
- Be able to work well within a team.
- Have a flexible attitude to work, including the ability to change shift times.
- Must train in all areas of the Moreton factory by agreement.
- Must be willing to pass on and share knowledge to ensure the team continually improves.
- Must be willing to train others as required.
